I like the DG pipe on 84 and 86 Tecates. On the 84 with KX250 top end, cut head, electrical and flywheel it reminded me of a Paul Turner High Rev for LT250R and seemed more powerful than my 86 T3. Much larger than stock.

Yeah, my 85 has as DG and Ricky flywheel (some have said it adds power?) and I wish some people on here could ride it. I'm not saying its super fast but the hit of the power band is unreal.

I paid 250.00 plus shipping from Jemco located in Texas. It took a while to get this pipe, but right now they are all caught up! Your looking at a 8 to 10 day turn around.

So can jemco make any custom pipe, or do they just do tecs? I may need one for my atc500r build this is why I am asking. Did you need to send your frame and motor in to have the pipe built and fitted, or how does it work?

No they have the 84-86 tecate jigs. They were the pipe builders for all the Tiger trikes in the 80's. I myself would like to build a kx500 tecate....but I have not spoken with them about any other pipes at this point. Just google Jemco Exhaust and the contact numbers are listed. They are a small shop from what I understand, but the work is quility.

that is one good lookin pipe! What is the pipe right next to it being compared? 250dlz is CHEAP for a performance pipe! I may have to consider them if I ever get a liquid R again... Sweet deal dude!

So how does the performance compare to the others? Do they offer more than one pipe design? $250 for a brand new hand built pipe seems like a excellent deal... The baffle cone on the DG suggest less peak power but more over-rev.. I am curious

We've all been clammering for these "other then DG" pipes for ever so why can't we get some one to get the deminsions off some of the ones they have and start welding them up our self? I hate algebra as much as the next guy but if we put our head together, we can do this.

I would rather see a "new" pipe design that isnt 25 year old... kinda makes me wonder how a newer kx pipe would run on the old short stroke engines.. I am half temped to put my '86 engine in my trike just to see..
