Potential rear sprockets for 1986-87 Tecate?

Basically all Ducati bikes have the same bolt pattern but the bolt holes are tapered and 10.5mm which is 2.25mm too big. Maybe you can get special bolts made easier? Or turn down the Ducati bolts and use a die to make your own thread??

    Just a thought.

    Close enough? drill out holes?

Gents KFX450 rear swingarms. There is a heap on ebay, has anyone measured one up to fit an 86/87 Tecate?

The end that goes towards the engine has the same open area that Tecates have. at top mount towards the centre, like Tecates have. And they look like they may even be longer than a Tecate swingarm. I suspect that with a little bit of machine work, those swingers could easily be made to fit into a tecate.

Say hello to round house bearing carriers, wide axles and modern hubs.

    NICE! I wish I hadn't spent $80 on a T3 one 10 years ago.

I used 86-87 200X. The 400Ex should be the same.

I found the Yamaha hubs to have a little too much slop. Please check the Banshee hubs are not too loose when you first put them on, as it may wreck your splines if the hub nut loosens off any.

The Honda splines are a closer match.

No. The 87 KX had the smaller bore and longer stroke like the T4 had. 1986 KX was the last year for the same piston as the KXT.

Since this thread is supposed to be more of a listing of what interchanges I'd rather not get into a discussion here. If you'd like to discuss it via PM or start a new thread I'd be happy to show you how I came up with the answer I gave him.
