Picked up a really nice stock axle with the most zinc I have seen left on a used part ever. Picked it up with the carrier dirt dirt cheap. Drilled and reamed out the stud holes in my set of used 300ex hubs so that they would accept the new wheel spacers I machined up. I may offer these spacers forsale. Not sure yet.

Thanks Andy! Have you done much with metal flake additives for powders? I want to do something wicked with a frame for this!

Hey Jeff you were correct on the freeze plug @ 26mm not 1 1/8" . I'm doing another motor for a customer and measured it while I had them out . Guess I should go correct my thread before someone else buys the incorrect parts LOL .

Build is looking great with the new looking parts .

These little guys Mike were not the easiest thing to find. Finally I have a friend at Napa who works at the warehouse up here for them found them for me. No one at the stores could locate them. I normally get stuff like this from McMaster-Carr but they came up empty handed too.

Since I can't seem to locate a vented dipstick for this project, I decided to fool around with one I had. It came out rather nicely. I got some 3/16 barb fittings with 10-32nd threads and threw it in the drill press. End result. I imagine they did stuff like this prior to trick goodies.

Had sometime to mess around in the shop this weekend. Got the motor torn down and the cases cleaned up and cooked out the oil so that they would not gas out during powdercoating. I also tap'd each hole so I have no snags on assembly. I also reamed out all the 10mm counterbores for the dowels as well. Prep'd each gasket surface too! Picked up a few stainless bolts from work, still need to grab the rest. I powdercoated these cases in a flat black for something different. I also installed a trick little magnetic drain plug I had kicking around.
