I had the front tire on my 250sx fixed. had the tire shop put a tube in it. its a cheng shin knobby tire. they seem to be way too soft. got to air it up tight to make it not so grippy. i need a new set of maxxis all trak tires, maybe a set of trailpros lol!

got off work, and went and put my new airbox, and new uni air filter on my 85r. was fighting the boot on the airbox that connects to the back bone of the frame for the intake. was ready to toss in the towel, then i realized the rubber was just too hard on that boot. got my torch out and heated it up to where it was very pliable, and it slid in just like a glove. then had the same hard time on the elbow that connects to the carb and to the airbox. so i did the same torch trick, and now have a complete airbox on the r again. so maybe i can try to rejet it yet again to see if it will finally run right with a airbox instead of the open k&n pod i was running

Well I finished my sons 70 build for xmas on xmas day, lol. A few days later I put the topend back on a Tri Z that I picked up last year. Feels good to finally tinker with it. Then I did an inspection to figure what all parts I need for it. Now I wait until the day that I have the money for the parts. Lol

Got my motor back in.Cleaned everything up.Switched valves/springs and put in a webcam mild cam.New rear fender on its way,exhaust stripped and painted,

took my tehter kill switch off my tecate. it was being used as its only kill switch, and that wasnt flying with me. i bought a push button kill switch off a cr250r for 5 bucks shipped. so i put that in place of the tether switch. so now if something odd were to happen i can kill the bike immediatly, vs having to remember to pull the clip out for the thether switch, and all that jazz. to me simple is better.

I removed my wheel hubs and polished them up real nice. Changed the oil. Repainted the headlight trim, added some blue reflectors to the rear frame. Now I am trying to see how I can rig up a rear after market wheel to the front hub......

Went out to go ride today just me and the kiddo. Guess the straps on his dirt bike were too loose. Sick to my stomach to say it fell off the trailor :( Minor damage I guess, new gas tank, handle bars, throttle, grips, clutch and brake handle, Oh and a very ruined day.

hooked the wagon to the 125 and got the yard cleaned up. washed it. started to swap back to the thumb throttle, but then found i don't have the right cable. put the twisty back on. ended up just pulling the exhaust to repaint it.

Pulled the rear brake, awaiting new pins and pads. Sanded the rear axle and in general tightened up the rear end on the 350x. Ordered pads and pins, front wheel bearings and petcock. Thats all she needed, always runs great... Will be ready for summer next week!!!

Finally fired up project fiance's atc 70 after top end rebuild and as well as Jon Boy I hooked my wagon up to my atc 70 for yard work... which in turn made my neighbors laugh at me cause i used my trike to haul leaves 50 ft. Works for me, got to trike and have fun doing it within city limits. :Bounce

got the holes on the 70 tank JBWelded/primed, no sealant though. not much worth saving because the tank is so rough, but it's all i got for now and holding fuel sofar. made some home made rubber mounts for the seat/tank. just now ordered a carb rebuild kit from hondaatc70.com and they're shipping it today, i hope it'll get here by this Fri or Sat. :Bounce

Took a trip to Haspin Acres. It rained on and off most of the day. Started off with some great trail riding, a few drizzles which only inhanced the grip and larger hill climbs for a few hours. Then the rain let loose for a few hours. We got back out after it had stopped, and at first, it wasn't to bad. However, after the soil soaked up the rain, the trails were fairly impassable within the next hour. I had to be winched out once tring to, "ride on water". 1st time I've really been muddin with my 86r. Tachin out 4th gear, floatin over that soupy clay in the open areas up front!!159489

Dismounted 5 200X 350X and 250R front tires. Tossed 3 badly cracked ones, remounted one nearly new 200X front tire on a 350X wheel and saving the other nearly new one for another project. Made templates for mounting 200X reservoir on custom frame.

Well yesterday I decided to replace the clutch cable, parking brake cable and brake pads on my 200X.. Today on the 350X, I changed the fork oil and seals. Lately I have been noticing a squeak in the rear suspension so tonight I pulled the rear axle and swing arm. All bearings were clean and tight. Pulled off the shock, cleaned it up, change fluid and recharged with nitrogen. While I had it apart, I decided to pull the rear caliper apart, clean it up and install fresh pads. I'll finish putting it back together in the morning and take it for a ride.

Changed the rear tires on the 85.5 Z, HAD to get rid of the 22" Trail-Pro's. Put some 18" Razr MX on in their place. Jeez did it help that wore out feckin bike. Also got the powervalve top end and parts an crap bought for the 6-speed motor build. Got the retired flat track racer 85 back into a complete rolling chassis. Then tried seeing how the 500 will fit into it. IT DONT. So got to looking at the 500 chassis to see how hard a bike conversion will be. It won't be. So I'm talking to my welder now.

I sand blasted these parts and powder coated them on saturday... slowly working on an 85 and 86 250R I got the radiator bracket blasted powder coated and mounted. I used eastwood semi gloss black.. Its a great match to the original

Today I fixed my rear light socket, yes you can actually buy just a socket! Who knew? :lol: also picked up some different lug nuts so the stock ones wouldn't dig into my ITP BAHA rims. Even when turning the lug nuts backwards, they still dig into rims. Also changed the clutch perch, wanted to put an ASV on there but it would have been too pricey for me...

Took the front triples off the sons unit, (250R Racer) and serviced it ! It wouldn't turn , it needed Cleaned lubed and reinstalled, now it steers! Then I rejetted mine and made sure the trany was shifting. Couldn't ride it, crappy weather.

I repainted the tank on our 84 big red, and started on modifying the big reds headlight bracket to fit the X forks. We got a nice one that was almost new with it that I put on the 83 already, and the 83s bracket was bent as fark. So I cut that one up.

I re used all of the original steel, just cut it and moved it. Im using fluxcore untill I get more gas so the welds are not pretty lol.

I still need to make little mounts to bolt it down., so its just sitting there. Both tubes have the same bend just like they did orionally, I just cut them off and re-welded them on the other way around.

New engine/axle sprocket and chain on 200X, along with new Axle bearings. I should have know upon pulling the old crappy bearings I would see "CHINA" written on them..
ALSO, I read about flipping the dogbone bracket that the rear shock bolts to on the swinger to allow added ride height. Let me just say that this WORKS and it does not affect the tension of your chain ( I was afraid that the difference in angles may require another link or two in the chain but does not.)

So today I had some help... And it was nice out! We got the carb,intake,air filter and reed cage pulled out. Cleaned the airbox out, cleaned the carb,installed new intake, reeds, and put it back together.

It's always easier said than done, the new reed cage and billet intake are much thicker than stock stuff... Had to make it all fit.... I'm prolly going to eliminate the airbox and go with a K&N filter w/outware in the near future.

Tomorrow I'm getting the petcock, fuel filter and new lines installed. Hopefully the green machine will breath fire once again!!!

Mine are 8x6, not 6x8. My bad. Needed a weird size for the 16x7.5-8 Carlisle R/A's. Actually considered a front wheel lol. Rears are .125" thick (not bad) and the front is .190 (pretty dang thick)
What I dont like is that the two rears cost LESS than one front. Just stupid IMO. Probably because the front is a specialty size

That's why I'm running a 10x5 inch front with a modified hub and a two piston caliper with a lower profile to clear the matching thickness A5, almost same price on a front. I wish I had seen the black wheels for 5 bucks more a piece but oh well there's always next time.

Got the rear tires on the rims today, they're OK but once they wear out I'm going to try to go even more narrow on the rear. These will do for now. I may swap this wheel and tire combo to another project and order the black wheels......

Front end has a much better ride over the fork oil I had in it. Still need to really ride it to be sure I like it. Put in one of those billet mini radiator inline things and started mounting the 85 radiator to the 86 triples. Also tightened up the front fender. The radiator is temporarily mocked up, I'm working with what I find around the house for now. The top mount bracket is broke off, so I've got the 2 brackets to hold it in place.

After about 8 months of being torn apart, I finally got the X fired up today.

It was a complete tear down. Frame was powdered. Engine was refinished all black. Various other parts painted if they needed it. Polished the forks. New 400ex carb installed. New DG all chrome to replace the Cobra. Still some work to be done - ordered new brake lines today, need to have the tank repainted. Complete decal set from Harlan to be installed. And of course need to reinstall all the fenders, etc. But it felt awesome that she literally started first try - with no choke. And man, the DG is way louder than the Cobra was…..

Cut a couple new trails with the Big Reds out at the hunt lease. Found a good spot to set a stand up, hauled 200 lbs of corn to the old feeder, pissed an alligator off going through a shallow canal (good thing it was only a 3 footer), and had a good day with my hunting buddy even though it was 95* and muggy as heck. Trikes ran great and it was a productive day.

took the rear tires that came on my trike when I bought it, removed the tires, (which was surprisingly pretty easy) sand blasted the rims and primed them, now ill be painting them gold then re mounting the tires (with tubes) and putting them back on along with the 3" wheel spacers I had for awhile now. I put my Tri Z's under the knife today, they lost some serious weight! I got this LRD pipe last year and finally got around to removing my stock 86 Z Exhaust and silencer. The old silencer alone feels heavier than both my LRD pipe and Answer II Silencer put together.

My 85 Tri Z got the old under the seat gas tank pulled off along with the fuel pump, hoses, air box, tubes and hoses. It got a new aluminum top mount tank. I've got a 310 kit that's been itching to breath fire again, this ones getting more upgrades soon...:naughty::naughty::naughty:

Well okay it wasn't with my trikes but I took the scrambler out for a beating and finally got to test my BKT W207 "wings" rears with GBC XC master fronts. The scrambler really moved through the mud with them! Had a great day of riding with no break downs or injuries.

I re-jetted the carb on my YTM 200e. I bought it at a farm consignment auction in the spring and recently cleaned and rebuilt the carb, but it would cut out under acceleration when at 60% plus throttle. It had a DG pipe on it and I bet it still had the stock jet. Luckily the carb kit from a YFM 200 came with a larger jet that conveniently seems to be just about right on this Tri-Moto.

I hope you have a rear working caliper on the Tri Z. I used to ride my big red without any brakes at all...lol How far are your dunes to Vancouver?

Yes I have rear brakes, fronts are missing as you can see but I'm getting them before my next ride, going down huge soft hills is hard without front breaks, going up is a piece of cake for this beast. Hudson hope is about 13 hours north of Vancouver

I finally had some time to spend on the DXN and made my Tow Hitch. it came out good id say and works well, I already skidded a log up to my garage for cutting into firewood.

Used the 200es to pack the chainsaw around to go trim up some trees. Beat walking and packing the saw I telll ya. Used the tractor/ brush hog to chop all the branches. No mess lol

that's why I made the trailer hitch for my DXN, I figure, if im gonna do yard work, at least I can have some fun hauling stuff around the yard! lol Id rather ride the trike around the yard than the lawn tractor, I just wish the trike had reverse!
