    250es with 350x front end

So, over the past two months I have been sinking money into a great running 250es. I paid $200 for it. The rear fenders were mostly cut off with a saw and the front forks were bent. It crashed pretty hard in the front. I was still able to ride it around and its definitely worth fixing up. So I put a 350x front end on it which was pretty easy. I had to buy all the parts individually, (forks, triple tree, axle, hub...) I eventually need to get a caliper and master cylinder but first I need to figure out a headlight. I have looked every where including ebay and can't find a headlight setup for a 350x. Does anyone have one or know of an alternative, like will a 250sx headlight strap right on?

Also, is it possible to put rear fenders from a 250sx on my 250es. The reason being it would be cheaper than buying the two fenders, trunk and and those impossible to find side panels. Also I want to put the vinyl camo kit on this and I think it would stick better to the sx fenders.

    Thanks

Post up some pics of your BigRed!
Pretty sure 250R and 200X will work for a headlight setup. 250SX headlight shell is wider, but seems I read some stretch the straps or turn the straps to make it work.

Thanks for the tips. Another thing about this wheeler that I don't understand is its power. I can pull wheelies in 4th gear. You throw it into first at a low idle and the front end jumps up off the ground a couple inches. Its an 85'. My buddy has an 86' same machine that is in mint condition, runs great but wont lift the front end in any gears... I just think its strange. I told him he probly needs new centrifugal clutch shoes. What do you guys think?

By the way, this 350x front end was worth the money and time i spent waiting for the parts. I love it and it bolted right on. Still need to weld the new stops but it rides great

    good lookin bike
your pullin wheelies so easy because you shaved a whole bunch of weight off the front end by running the lighter fork set and smaller front tire. put similar front end on my 250 sx, think its from 250r though. bought a piece of 1 1/2" angle aluminum and made head light mount. on lower tripple tree there should be two little raised areas on each side that are threaded. drrill holes in your aluminum that far apart and you have a mount. up to you how it looks i took some time and cut some angles just to make it look nice. then mount up whatever you like. i found a nice 7" rectangle light at local rural king but i thought 2 small round lights would look good too
