    250 sx gas tank

Got a 250sx recently and just noticed how loose my gas tank is. I see the bolt at the base of the tank where the seat meets it is tight but I couldn't see any others?
    Any help appreciated

There is only one bolt. I would take that bolt out and your gas line off and lift the tank off. There are a couple rubber bushings up front on the frame where the tank fits, check to see they are there and not trashed.

Along with the 2 up front that trickshot mentioned, there is also the one, where you bolt it down. Make sure that one is there also.

Ok i took a closer look at that tank today and noticed if you turned handlebars all the way they would contact the front of gas tank. Took the tank off and noticed the tank has slots to slide over those bumbers on frame but mine were just seated on top! Easy tilt n slide of tank into proper position and fixed!
    Thanks again fellas

    NICE!
Make sure the rubber mounting stuff is all there as mentioned.
I had one 'hard bolted' and the vibration cracked the tank.
    Fun machines, eh??

    Ok I'll check that too! Just bought a '84 200 m today for a$100.
Guy can't get it to run but said it was running. He wanted 400 this summer lol!
I think a carb cleaning will probably be in order to get her up n running!!
